Chef Tee’s Hamburger w/Funky Toppings
Serves 4 to 6
Prep time: 5 minutes; cooking time: 5-to-10 minutes
Ingredients

  • 6 hamburgers, grilled or broiled
  • 6 buns
  • Funky toppings (try one or more below)

Red wine onions (recipe — mix 1 cup sliced onions with red wine vinegar, salt, sugar to taste; marinate for a few hours; eat raw or cook over medium-low heat until mixture becomes syrupy)

Pickled garlic (recipe — in medium saucepan, add ¼ cup whole garlic cloves, 1 cup apple cider vinegar, 1 tsp. salt; simmer covered over medium-heat for about 5-to-10 minutes or until garlic is fork tender; cool; slice.)

Spicy tomato (recipe — mix 1 cup diced tomatoes with hot sauce, chopped cilantro to taste.)

Tomatillo pickles (recipe — mix 1 cup tomatillos or cucumbers, thinly sliced with a few Tbsps. white wine vinegar, Salt & Pepper to taste.)
